Safety Management System (SMS) seminar

Amsterdam Airlines will host the first Dutch Safety Management System (SMS) in aviation seminar. In association with Cliff Edwards, a well respected safety expert with over 25 years of experience, the seminar will be held at the Novotel Amsterdam Airport (Badhoevedorp) on September 21st and 22nd 2010.

The fact that Amsterdam Airlines hosts the SMS seminar shows her continued awareness and commitment to aviation safety.

First flight to Morocco

In the weekend of the 24th of April Amsterdam Airlines landed for the first time at the Moroccan airports of Nador and Tanger. At Tanger our flight was awaited by the Dutch Ambassador and the local and airport authorities.

This first landing marks the start of a regular/scheduled service of Amsterdam Airlines and its General Sales Agent ML Tours to Morocco.

Amsterdam Airlines lands at Groningen Airport

On March 26th the PH-AAY landed for the first time at Groningen Airport. With this landing Amsterdam Airlines has now landed at all major Dutch airports.

PH-AAX in C-check at Turkish Technics

After a good preparation of the Amsterdam Airlines maintenance team, the PH-AAX left in the beginning of January to Istanbul. There it currently undergoes its so called C-check.

Amsterdam Airlines obtains Class I EFB approval
This week Amsterdam Airlines received approval from the Dutch CAA to use the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Class I with the full Lufthansa Systems Lido/Flightbag suite in flight. With this approval Amsterdam Airlines is the first Dutch carrier, and most likely even the first European carrier, to receive approval to fly fully paperless this way.
